Robocat, an artificial intelligence (AI) exhibition commentary robot at the Goyang Children’s Museum (Director Cho Hyun-young) in Gyeonggi Province, received great attention at CES 2023 held in the U.S.

CES 2023 is the world’s largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) exhibition held in Las Vegas from the 5th to the 8th. About 3,200 companies from 174 countries participated in this year’s CES, which resumed as a face-to-face event for the first time in three years.

Goyang Children’s Museum AI Robot Robocat is an AI robot developed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with Hills Robotics and Istonic, which was selected as a target organization for the 2021 Smart Museum and Art Museum Construction Project.

Since 2022, when the development of robots was completed, the Goyang Children’s Museum has been running a “Wonderful Land with Robocat” program in which Robocat explains the exhibition.

An official from the Goyang Children’s Museum said, “It is a great honor to introduce the museum’s exhibition commentary robot Robocat overseas as the manufacturer of Robocat participates in CES 2023,” adding, “We will continue to expand opportunities for children to experience 4th industrial revolution technology such as AI and robots through various activities.”
