Front9 (CEO Park Moon-geun), an apartment concierge specialist, announced on the 7th that it had signed a ‘comprehensive business agreement on urban smart delivery business cooperation’ with Hills Engineering (CEO Park Myung-gyu), an autonomous driving robot solution company.
The ceremony was attended by Park Moon-geun, CEO of Front 9, Lee Seong-woo, CTO, and Hills Engineering’s CEO Park Myung-gyu, Yoon Jong-cheol, CTO Park Seon-soon, and others.
Front 9 is a comprehensive concierge service platform company that provides concierge services to apartment residents. Hills Engineering is an autonomous driving robot solution company that has developed three types of robots: logistics, quarantine, and guide.
In this agreement, Hills Engineering decided to supply its logistics robot ‘Robot’ to Front 9. Park Myung-gyu, CEO of Hills Engineering, explained, “The ‘robot’ provides various functions tailored to the needs of the operation site, such as autonomous driving, tracking driving, and reciprocating driving, based on site-friendly and ergonomic design.”
Front 9 plans to use the robot for the subscription-type early morning breakfast service business. When the breakfast delivery person loads breakfast, the robot delivers breakfast to the entrance of each apartment building and returns to the common entrance.
Front 9 CEO Park Moon-geun said, “Recently, we are providing breakfast service to large apartment complexes such as Wirye, Banpo, Songdo, and Paju.” He added, “Through this business partnership, we expect to spur the growth of both companies.”
Through this cooperation, Hills Engineering plans to check the business scalability of its logistics robot and actively respond to the demand for stable autonomous delivery solutions by collecting and utilizing related data.
An official from Hills Engineering said, “We have been receiving inquiries about robot purchases and partnerships from domestic and foreign companies since the beginning of this year.
